Are you looking for a new opportunity to serve others in our community?
Mulvane Care and Share is our hometown thrift store, assisting residents in need within the Mulvane school district. Shopping is available to everyone and money received from the sale of donated items is used to help clients, pay for rent and utilities, and supplement donations to the food pantry. Assistance is given to 35 - 40 families each month. The store is totally run by volunteers with approximately 30 volunteers needed per week for 2 1/2 hour shifts. Please give prayerful consideration to volunteering weekly, monthly or substituting for regularly scheduled workers. "Care and Share" has indicated that they are currently very low on bar soap and deodorant.
Other items needed are:
Non-perishable Foods: canned goods, crackers, rice, peanut butter, soup, cereal, canned meat.
Paper Goods: paper towels, toilet tissue, facial tissue, diapers
Personal Hygiene Items: soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant
Laundry Items: laundry detergent, fabric softener |
